Am I doing the work? Ummm, no! Some of our friends are doing the work on the cabin. They have been doing a great job so far. I could not believe what a difference there was in the way the cabin looked after the first day. All they did that day was pull off all the junk the last owner had nailed up around the bottom. It is crazy how well things were made back in the 1900’s. The timbers under the house were hand hewn. Some of the timbers are just a tree cut in half and barked. They are still holding strong. It is a little scary looking under your cabin and seeing what is really holding it up. There are still stacks of the original rock columns under the house. Everything under the cabin is good and sturdy.
