Tomatoes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wow, our tomatoes produced more then I could have imagined. All 62 plants that we planted survived. I really thought I might have made a mistake by planting so many. Now,  I think I could have used a few more. I would have liked to made more tomato sauce.

Heirlooms

When I was little I called these tommy toes.
Still do!

This one made a great sandwich!!

ketchup

We grow all sizes :)

Believe it or not - this is not the biggest and not the smallest.

yummy

I made several different salsas, ketchup, bbq sauce, pizza sauce, pasta sauce, tomato sauce, stewed tomatoes, dried tomatoes, and green tomato jam. The pictures do not show the true amount of tomatoes we had on our table at one time. Take the last picture and double it!!

  1. Oh my goodness these look great. Awesome job keeping up with it all. Our very small garden fizzled out from not being watered. I love your photos btw.

  4. We enjoyed all our tomatoes too. Made salsa, stewed tomatoes and pasta sauce. What recipe did you use for the ketchup and bbq sauce?

  5. This year I used Mrs. Wages for the ketchup. I used a recipe that I found on the internet for the BBQ sauce. Things taste so different (and better) when you make it yourself.
