Cat's out, birds are in and the snake is missing!

Well, no one has seen the cat in a while. Maybe it finally found a way to the outside. I am just glad it is gone and so is N.D.. I believe that N.D. got into a tussle with it a couple of times. There is still a cat hanging around outside that we see about every day. As long as it stays in the wild we will just let it be---for now. If it ever looks at the girls (chicks) the wrong way it will have to go. 


What is this about birds? Remember the side of the cabin that was never finished. There is no siding and a hole at the top where the roof tops come together. Yesterday I watched a mama bird with a worn in her mouth go into this hole. Yes, I am sure J. I kept hearing baby birds chirp like crazy. I thought their might be a nest in the pecan tree. Of course not--it has to be in the roof! Hopefully the babies will be gone by the time the work starts on the cabin. 


What’s with the snake? It seems that the little snake that was “killed” Saturday by the weed eater is missing. The girls had put it on top of the grill. When I got to the cabin yesterday I was going to put it in a plastic container. Now remember the snake had been on the grill since Saturday. The little sucker is gone! I looked every where for it. Maybe a bird got it. We have no idea where it went. Karmin was kinda sad because she was looking forward to seeing the bones.
