We Sure Are Tired!!!

Our day started at 7 am this morning. We were out of the house by 745 with a stop at Ingles to grab stuff to make lunch. It was a great morning to be at the cabin. The air was still a bit cool, the sun was shinning, the wind was blowing and the truck was loaded down-well kinda. We worked all day. That's right we did not finish until 4 pm. Karmin and I were rewarded for our hard work with a mini Blizzard. It hit the spot.
This is what we started with.
I tilled part of the front garden. I did say front garden. We have two and for that I must be crazy. The front garden is where I plan to have most of the fruit growing. I am still waiting on a couple of my fruit plants. Today  two blueberry bushes went in, one dewberry bush and one muscadine plant. I am not sure the muscadine is going to make it. It looks kinda week. All were watered and fertilized.
Thank goodness my tiller is light. I would never get this done with a regular one.
Poor little musadine. You can hardly see it.
This is the dewberry bush.
Last are the two blueberry bushes.
Karmin picked out this one.

My sweet Lanie gave me this one.

While I was busy in the garden Karmin and her friend, Lanae, were busy making a flower garden of their own. I forgot to tell you that we could hear Lowes calling us yesterday. With a ten dollar off coupon and a 10% military discount how could we resist? We did not even try. So Karmin picked out herself some flowers.
Karmin and Lanae did the entire flower garden by themselves.
Working hard.

I think the flowers are just beautiful! They did a great job.

While they worked on the flower bed I planted five more rows of veggies in the back garden. Do you know just how time carrot seeds are? Well I do. They are very tiny. The spinach seeds were bigger then I thought they would be. I also put in some green peas, cow peas, sweet beans. They are all from seeds and may never grow. I am just making this stuff up as I go along. Yes, my mom and dad had a garden. I was only big enough to pull the weeds.
Well it looks good.
The girls did a few other things too. They were nice and fixed my lunch. They also stained some wood for the chicken coop. Oh, and they cleaned out more chicken poop!!

This was our new friend that we met today.
This is what we ended with today. We worked really hard.
We knew it would be a good day when we found  three four leaf clovers.

  1. Looks like you had a productive day; just in time for tonight's rain! Tell Karmin to come on over and work in my yard anytime!

  2. The rain was our inspiration for today. Karmin is a good helper.
